After listening to this show in entirety I really must be totally honest...
I had very little to do with the awesomeness that starts this show. Pete was mostly responsible for the excellent mix right at the top... with the hip hop and electronic... and Shawn probably supplied the narration and anything jazz or world.
I also had everything to do with the bizarre and totally inappropriate 'American acoustic music' in the third part of this show. In retrospect I have no idea why I thought that would be a good idea, nor do I know why Shawn let it continue. My best guess is that the other three left me along and the studio... and this sonic disconnect was my retribution.
On the brighter side I did work with Shawn on conceptualizing and setting up the effects, especially the reverb soaked tic'toc of the metronome sounding thing.
